For the most part, all mp3 players are all sold with operating software to manage your device's contents, as well as handle any necessary file conversions. Also included is a U.S.B. (Universal Serial Bus. just in case you were curious) cable to connect to your computer. In many cases your file management software can be set to automatically download files when your device is connected by it's USB cable. You can transfer music that you download from the internet onto your device also. After you have downloaded music from a site on the internet such as itunes or amazon, go to the Windows Media Player Library and look for the song. If it isn't there; locate the folder to which the file was downloaded, then transfer it from there to the windows music folder. It should appear in the Windows Media Player Library.
You can start transferring music onto your mp3 player by clicking "sync" from the top of the Windows Media Player interface.
